The Pennsylvania Farm Show is underway Jan. 4-11 in Harrisburg and members of the Bellefonte Area High School FFA program are making a showing. It includes five new FFA members who also will be earning their jackets, which signifies membership in the organization, and selected among hundreds of applicants, according to high school ag teacher and FFA adviser Myken Poorman.

They are:

Finley Musser
Emmalin Pringle
Olivia Ranio
Bailey Little
Katie Gearhart

Additionally, Bellefonte FFA Vice President Trevor Mauk has been “tirelessly” restoring a 1952 John Deere Model 50 tractor for the antique tractor restoration contest that will be held 8: 30 a.m. Jan. 11. So far he received Best Recordbook award for his documentation with the tractor’s restoration process.

“He is so proud of his tractor and I am super proud of how hard he has worked on making it look awesome,” Poorman said, also adding that the tractor operates. The contest involves a display, record book, video and public speaking part.
