Jersey Shore celebrates the Day of Caring

Jersey Shore students continue to show support to the community in the WeShoreCare project.

The Jersey Shore Area Senior High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) celebrated the Day of Caring on November 20 by delivering goodie bags to Jersey Shore Manor Care, Nippenose Valley Village and the Williamsport Home. The goodie bags included lots of snacks, lip balm, cookies from Pizza 2 Go, and ice cream from Dairy Queen! Since FBLA members could not go into the facilities to deliver the goodie bags, they wrote chalk messages for the residents and staff. FBLA members also delivered pizza, cookies, chips and Healthcare Hero yard signs for the staff at these locations. The effort was part of the district-wide #WeShoreCare initiative to celebrate and give back to the local community.

The district appreciates the support from these community sponsors: Jersey Shore State Bank, Williamsport Sun-Gazette, Alert 1, Steinbacher Enterprises, Inc., Dairy Queen, Bonner Sports & RV, Pizza 2 Go, Jersey Shore Key Club, McMahon-Ferguson & Associates Erie Insurance, ROBO Construction, Steinbacher, Goodall, and Yurchak, Cisneros Family, Fuller Family, JSE Coffee Cart, JS Student Council, Sweitzer’s Auto Sales, Wheary, Inc. and LAMAR.
