McClellan kindergartners participated in lots of fun and educational activities to celebrate that they are 100 days smarter. Students engaged in STEAM-related projects throughout the day and participated in a service project to make the 100th day of school even more memorable.

Leading up to the big day, students worked with their parents to make t-shirts adorned with 100 embellishments and purchased crayons and coloring books for a special donation to mark the 100th day of school on February 4, 2020. Kindergarten teachers held a fashion show for their students to “walk the runway” and show off their t-shirt creations to all of their classmates.

At the end of the fashion show, it was announced that students collected over 100 crayons, colored pencils and coloring books for the 100th day of school! All items were donated to Beverly’s Birthdays, a nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh that brings birthday cheer to children experiencing homelessness and families in need. It was a wonderful way to celebrate 100 days by spreading kindness and cheer to local children!
