Teachers recognized through ‘My Jersey, Your Impact’ initiative

Senior student-athletes holding the jerseys their about to present to teachers who have made a positive impact on their life.

Sixteen Hempfield High School senior football athletes demonstrated their appreciation to teachers who have had a significant positive impact on them through a unique jersey presentation.

Organized by Hempfield School District Head Football Coach George Eager, the “My Jersey, Your Impact” recognition event provided senior football players an opportunity to personally recognize a teacher who has made a positive impact on their life. The student-athletes traveled through the hallways of the school, stopping at classrooms to say a few words of appreciation to the teachers they selected. Each student then presented the teacher with his jersey to wear for the day, leading up to the Homecoming game Friday evening.
